use our Leather Sheath and Honing Paste
with your 12” Diamond Steel.
DMT® Professional Diamond Steels are made to the highest standards to last discerning professional butchers and chefs many years. They sharpen fast and the round profile not only lasts longer than oval diamond steels but can be used to sharpen scalloped knives too.
I met a German chef at a hunting show in Munich who’d been using his DMT® 12” Diamond Steel for more than 15 years and he couldn’t understand why every chef hadn’t got one!
Warning: Oval diamond steels tend to lose the diamonds off the thin edges and in my 45+ years experience of selling DMT® products I’ve met many users who have suffered from this problem. It is also my experience that oval diamond steels are often too coarse and can wear
your valuable knives prematurely as well.
Note: We’ve decided only to stock the 12” Diamond Steel which fits our Leather Sheath. This Leather Sheath not lonely protects your Diamond Steel but can be used to polish your knives to a razor edge when you’ve rubbed Honing Paste into it. A great idea!
